What? I know that is what you are thinking.
Let me just start at the beginning. Sunday night D and I were putting away clothes and he began having chest pains. Long story short, by Monday night he was in the hospital for monitoring and testing. After testing, everything came back showing the trouble was not his heart. Great news, but still leaves the question of what is causing his chest pains. To be continued…he is to return to his regular doctor for more work.
He was released Tuesday afternoon, but not before he was given the opportunity of having an interesting roommate. We were sitting there and in walks in the patient and 4 ladies–wife, mom and 2 daughters. They were a loud group and gave us great entertainment. I seriously felt like I was in the audience of the Jerry Springer show. I have never in my life heard the words bat, gun, Holy Spirit and crack pipe used in the same sentence–until today. Let me see if I can remember the exact sentence–“She was hit in the head with a gun and a bat, but you can’t believe her about being moved by the Holy Spirit since she still has a crack pipe sitting in the corner.” I was glad when they came in to release D and hope for the best for that family.
I will keep you updated on what we find out on D’s chest problems…
