Busy, busy and more busy…

Busy, busy and more busy…

I am sorry my blog has been lacking lately.  Things have just been crazy busy around here recently.

We have been working hard to get ready for our little one that will be arriving shortly.  We finally have the room ready to go.  It is pretty cute if I do say so myself.  Mae seems to like it.  She is now sleeping in her big girl bed.  But, she looks at the crib like something just is not right.  My coworkers had a shower for me Thursday afternoon at a local coffee shop.  It was a lot of fun and we were more than blessed with gifts.  Everyone is just way too good to us.  My next doctor’s appointment is this Wednesday.

At work we have been MAP testing.  It is a stressful time for everyone.  We began testing on Monday.  On Wednesday the counselor came in and said that the MAP police will be visiting.  The MAP police are the people that travel the state watching teachers give the exam.  They are making sure proper time is given, the children are receiving no help what so ever, and that teachers are reading the standardized wording exactly.  Well the “police” had plenty of classrooms to pick from, but somehow chose mine.  I found out about it at 8, and he was at my door at 8:10.  It went well, but stressed me out completely.  After the children were done testing, I was interviewed by the gentleman.  He asked questions regarding security procedures and such.  Later that morning, I was called into the principal’s office by the super.  Talk about more stress.  He called me in to let me know that everything had gone well.  That was nice to hear, especially from a man that does not give compliments often.  We have one more week of testing and I will be glad when it is over.

I have also been trying to prepare for my sub for while I am on maternity leave.  It is so hard to do, especially at the end of the year with all of the extra activities that pop up.  I am going to try not to worry about it and leave the best of plans I can and hope they can deal with it.

Well I am off to bed.  Happy Easter!  I hope everyone has a blessed day and remembers the sacrifice that was made for us.  We are truely blessed.
