Chocolate Zucchini Cake–yummy…


I love this cake. I make it every year. It was my grandma’s recipe.  Yum, yum!

Preheat oven to 325.
Grease and flour 9×13 pan (I spray it with pam).

Cream together:
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup oil
1- 3/4 cups sugar

Then add:
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup sour milk (1/2 cup milk with 1/2 tsp of lemon juice or vinegar)

Set off to the side.

Mix together dry ingredients:
2 -1/2 cups flour
4 tbsp cocoa
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda

Then slowly add dry ingredients to creamed mixture.
Then stir in 2 cups of shredded zucchini.

Spoon mixture into greased pan. Then sprinkle 1/2 cup chocolate chips, and 1/2 cup chopped nuts on top of cake.

Bake for 40-45 minutes.
