Good weekend…

Good weekend…

This was a good weekend. I accomplished nothing on my to do list, but still had a good weekend. When I got home Friday night, I busted it trying to get the house work done, before D arrived home. I was able to accomplish that. That left little to be done during our weekend. Saturday we enjoyed a visit from my dad. Had a nice family nap time. We had intented to visit D’s Aunt Loraine, who has not been feeling well, but Mae’s nap lasted longer than we had expect. We then had a nice dinner with D’s parents in honor of my father in laws birthday.
Today was another good day. We had a successful time at church in regards to Mae’s cooperation. She was very good and was able to stay with us during the whole service. I was able to get a little work done in the office–not as much as I had liked. Then Mae and I spent some time blowing bubbles. It was a beautiful afternoon. We rocked in the chairs on the front porch for awhile and just enjoyed the day. I was even able to talk D into taking some time off work and join us outside for some familly time.
Mae is so fun right now. She wanted to shake everyones’ hand at church. She loves sitting and making eyes at the older couple that sits behind us. She has walked around all afternoon in her church shoes, because she refused to take them off. She loves the click they make on the hardwood floors. Even at nap time, when I went to take them off of her, she looked at me all sad and said “no. need shoes.” She so enjoyed blowing bubbles. She chased them around and just gasped with excitement. She was even able to blow some herself. She loves to sing This Little Light of Mine. She shouts no when we say “hide it under a bushel.” She will blow when we say “won’t let satan (blow) it out.” She amazes us everyday with the things she is learning. She is such a joy.
Well ,I am off to spend my last few moments of the weekend with that little joy.
Have a great week.
