Happy Valentine’s Day!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine’s day. D informed me earlier that he is fixing me chicken parmigiana. That is the first dinner D ever made me. That was the dinner he tried to impress me with. Makes me think of that date night…
I went to D’s house for the first time. When I knocked on the door, no answer. Knocked again, still no answer. I was starting to think I had been stood up, which I thought was kind of weird since I was at HIS house. I had images of him hiding in a closet thinking “please go away, please go away” while rocking back and forth. But, finally D answered the door, looking all stressed out. You could tell that he had been working hard to fix dinner and clean the house. There was a smell in the air. Come to find out months later when we were in a relationship, while he was vacuuming that day he got the vacuum caught on one of his shoe laces and messed up the vacuum. For dinner he had made chicken parmigiana with homemade sauce and homemade european bread. The bread had taken him all day. It was good bread. He had picked the perfect wine to compliment the dinner. He even grated cheese on the dish for me before serving. It was a wonderful meal that we ate at his coffee table sitting on the floor in the living room. D did not have a kitchen table at the time. Dinner was wonderful with great conversation. He really did impress me with his culinary skills that night. D is such a good man and just down right adorable. I am so blessed.
*Update–dinner was awesome. Candle light, soft music, and wonderful food. Thank you honey.
