Oh no…check out the nose.

This is what happens when Mae runs away from Mommy.

No, I am just kidding, please don’t start talking bad about me.  Seriously, we had a rough hour or so at our house.  Today Mae was running away from me while I was trying to change her.  She jumped into the recliner.  The recliner rocked and she banged her nose on the end table.  It immediately went black and blue and began to swell.  I was so afraid she had broken her nose.  She was screaming.  I was crying for her.  I just held her and rocked her.  I tried to get her to put ice on it, but that did not work.  I tried getting ahold of D to see what he wanted me to do, but he was unavailable.  I finally called my sister and she  said she would come by to look at it.  While all of this was going on Lou woke up and started screaming.  I was trying to tend to Mae, so I could not get to her right away, so she screamed louder.  My sister was on her way, so I had to get the dogs put away.  As I was walking to put the dogs away, Baby jumped on the back of my flip flop. I continued to move, but my flip flop did not.  That sent me flying on to the floor and broke the flip flop.  Sadly, they were D’s and I will have to replace them.  Finally “Nurse Auntie” arrived.  She thinks she will be okay, but will be black and blue for awhile.   Poor thing.  After my sister and the gang left I gave Mae some Tylenol and we all took naps.  We all needed a nap after all that.  What an afternoon!

  1. Oh, Oh, Oh, Poor baby—I’d say she should have been at Grandma’s, but I’m the one who let her dive off the couch at less than a year old, and cursed Emme with baby exema—— Anyway, so sorry; you handled it well inspite of falling in the floor yourself—-some days are like that Love you, BT
